The place
Kanyakumari is the southernmost point of mainland India, where the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean meet. The Vivekananda Rock Memorial stands offshore, on the rock where Vivekananda is said to have meditated for three days in 1892 before leaving for the West.
